I love gardening
Ever since I can remember, I was the only kid out of six that liked to plant seeds in our yard and watch them grow. My Mother who really wasn't into gardening never encouraged me to continue planting those wonderful little seeds. But 35 years later, she loved to come to my home and admire my beautiful yard. I love the beauty of it, but most of all, I love the reaction of those passing by my house. For example, a lady stopped her car in front of my house, rolled down her window and stated "I want you to know that I purposely go out of my way to drive by your house when I come home from work to look at something truly beautiful". I now live in Florida, and although I had to adjust to the climate and understand certain flowers and shrubs that would withstand the heat (and I do mean heat), my yard is as beautiful as the one I had in Ohio when the lady complimented me on her way home from work. The difference is that living in Florida, I can have beautiful flowers all year long as I have had fresh roses many times for Christmas. Do you have a story about your yard, a question about certain flowers or shrubs, or suggestion about certain things in a yard, share them with me. Yes I do have a Green Thumb.
